Master by Research (Management/Economics/Finance)

Master by Research program offers the students with the opportunity to pursue independent research project in Economics, Finance or Management. The aims of this programme are to enable students to gain specialist knowledge in Management, Economics or Finance through original piece of research; develop analytical skills; training in critically reading the literature; building confidence to carry out research. This degree provides a foundation to undertake further study at PhD level and/or prepare student to pursue career as a researcher in the related fields. The dissertation must be submitted in English.


Programme Structure

Students shall submit a dissertation containing between 30,000 and 60,000 words on an agreed topic under supervision over a 12-month (full time) or 24-month (part time) period. The dissertation carries 40 modular credits. Although the programme is entirely based on research, students upon recommendation by their supervisor or programme leader may be directed to register a maximum of 3 modules relevant to their research topic.
